Hi, I’m Chau and like millions of other moms I had to learn how to cook for my family. I also love to eat and cannot stand to eat the same foods every week. I love to mix things up, challenge my family to try new things and I love to combine different cultures in my food. I’m Vietnamese and came to the U.S. when I was a little girl so I grew up on my mom’s home cooking. I really didn’t eat a lot of “American” food except for lunch at school.
After I graduated from college I moved from rural Pennsylvania to the metro Atlanta, GA area where I tried different ethnic cuisines. Now I try to incorporate what I love to eat, regardless of the where it came from into our family meals. Some of my recipes are simple because we all need those simple go-to recipes for during the week nights with multiple activities and some recipes are totally indulgent.:)
I try to express in my recipes that if you don’t like or have a certain ingredient that you can substitute it with another ingredient you may have on hand but it’s the basis of the recipe that’s important. I hope you can find something on here that will suite your taste buds. If you do, please let me know what you like or didn’t like and any feedback you have. I’d love to hear from you. Thanks for checking out my food blog from a home cook!
